The Republican Convention just ended with Senator McCain accepting the party nomination for President.The Party's Tagline is "Country First".My Question is if the Republicans are Country First advocates does this mean that everyone else is country second,second to what?Do non-Republicans not love their homes,towns families,communities,sports,schools shopping centers and county less then their Republican party counter-parts.To me this "Country First" caompaign is a devisive propaganda tactic to divide people once again into blue and red states,red and blue people.This type of campaign is a based on the tyranny of ideas,like in the past when the Bush machine termed people whom did not agree with them as un-patriotic.But Remember America this country was founded on not only the idea of freedom of speech but more importantly Freedom of Mind

How can anyone who loves our country support the Republicans now? Barry Goldwater, William F. Buckley & Ronald Reagan defined the modern conservatism that used to be what the GOP Party I belonged to was about. Today no actual conservative can be a Republican. President Ronald Reagan would despise today's wholly negative and out-of-control spending GOP. And can you picture the gentlemanly and always polite Ronald Reagan, endorsing a radio hate-jock-addict-slob-hypocrit who crudely mocked a man with Parkinson's and who now says he wants an American president to fail?!
And incompetent Washoe County Commissioner Bonnie Weber, only a Republican would do such a wacky thing, has ruined herself for me when she went after a citizen exercising their right to free speech and expression. Panty-waist Commissioner Bonnie Weber failed to manage that. And if she can’t manage the little things --- No, instead lazy Commissioner Bonnie Weber ran to the courts, why is it it is always the Republicans who first run to government for help?! Hypocrite Commissioner Bonnie Weber stupidly demanded government, and all of government’s resources, to immediately protect her from this citizen telling her his opinion. Arrogant Commissioner Bonnie Weber, Republican of course, didn’t care that she’s being paid tax-payer dollars to LISTEN to that citizen.

I laughed at the anti-establishment Last Supper take in M*A*S*H. An anti-establishment view or belief is one which stands in opposition to the conventional social, political, and economic principles of a society. The term is distinguished from counterculture, a word normally used to describe artistic rather than political movements that run against the prevailing taste and values of the time.
Today's Slackers I hope will harken back more to the 60s hippies. How the 60s hippies grew up to have Republicans running the show is like totally unreal.

Patriotic or Idiotic?
Funny how the word Patriot has been molded and shaped into a far cry from reality. The first Patriots were disadent rebels fed up with a tryranic government and leader in King George. Funny how the people that are most fed up with the current "King George" are now viewed as unpatriotic! Being a little further left then right I find it amazing how people that I view as successful and smart still defend George W. Bush. For the last 8 years my only question to these "Smart" people is, have you heard the man speak???? Still the Republicans have somehow scared or otherwise hoodwinked many smart people into thinking Dems are the Demons!!! Why is it the mostly wealthy Entertainers and Hollywood types tend to be more left? They have more to lose then the average middle class taxpayer. Right? Why is it that the upper middle class in this country cringe about "socialized Health Care" and paying for "Those poor people on welfare"? We are the most successful prosperous country on the planet! When tragedy strikes like Hurricane Katrina, we as a nation, Republican and Democrat donated millions upon millions to help our less fortunate neighbors. But pay an extra $1 a thousand in taxes forget you!
Finally, can someone please explain to me why is it that the most vocal right to life people are also the same Christians that think the Dinosaurs are made up and the Earth is 3000 years old????
