Mooz-lum (A Must See)

Mooz-lum (A Must See)

As-Salaam Alaikaam wa rahamatullahi wa barakatuh,

Mooz-lum directed by Qasim Basir is a movie that everyone should support, especially the Muslim community all over America. This film portrays the life of what most Muslims in general are going through in their daily lives.

It sound like Hollywood is giving the green light to Muslim America to tell the Muslim story. This is a positive sign from Hollywood base on its pass history of portraying Muslims in film.

Muslim communities all across America can’t afford to let this bus or this train pass by. No one can tell the Muslim story correctly, but the Muslim himself. Why the Muslim keeps on looking for a superhero if the superhero is already there? The only thing that the Muslim has to do is to look inside of his heart, and he or she will see that superhero. Allah will never change the conditions of the Muslim unless the Muslim changes the conditions that are in the heart. That is why the Muslim should support the movie Mooz-lum, to show everyone the Muslim story. If the Muslim just sit back and let non-Muslims tell the Muslim story, then he or she will just be short changed or just always be pessimistic.

I would encourage Muslims all over America and possibly the world to support this film. If Mooz-lum, the movie, arrives in your city or town, I also encourage Muslims who is interested in seeing the movie to invite a non-Muslim. No matter if the person is a senator, governor, the president, the first-lady, the friend at work, a Republican, a Democrat, an Independent, a Tea Partier, please invite someone.

Honestly, I have not seen the movie yet. I was inspired by a long time friend who saw the movie and wanted me to demand the movie to be shown in my town. I am also encouraging others to do the same. If anyone is having trouble expressing their support, encouraging others, or spreading the word, please use this letter as your ally.
