Father-daughter team John and Johnna Guzman, along with their team of visionaries have found a way to beat the depressed economy and are launching a family-owned company built specifically on the practice of paying it forward.
SocialCarnival.com is a new online discount deals site that offers its “SocialCarnival.com family members” savings certificates. With their online launch on August 1, SocialCarnival.com sees an opportunity to cater to small local businesses that aren’t a good fit and often overlooked by the site’s larger competitors.
But unlike their competition, with every purchase on SocialCarnival.com comes the ability to make a difference. Upon check out members choose from SPCA Tampa Bay, HARC and Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Tampa Bay, (with more charities to be announced) to receive a donation from their purchase price.
“Charitable donations are on the decline. SocialCarnival.com wants to give back to the community by allowing our members help our selected charities continue to have the ability to help others,” says Johnna. “We pride ourselves on being socially conscious and want to be recognized as more than just a discount deals website. We want to give back, make a measurable difference, and set the tone for other businesses to follow.”

And if the SocialCarnival.com name isn’t familiar now, just wait says Johnna. The name and reason behind its inception is simple.
“Social – especially in the age of social media - we all know what that means,” says Johnna. “Carnival means celebration of life and our goal is to combine a celebration of savings with philanthropy. We saw an opportunity in a fast-growing and successful industry to make a positive impact and help our charities in the process."
