Town 'N Country's GOT Talent!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 20, 2009, Town ËœN Country, Florida- They have but one shot and only two minutes to wow the judges at the preliminaries. Contestants take their seats and patiently wait for their numbers to be called. A quarter after ten on Saturday at the new Town ËœN Country Commons Emcee Chairperson Deborah Kelley, www.TheWriteOneCreativeServices.com calls the first child to the podium to introduce his act. So begins the quest towards a trophy, rewards from the local community and the coveted prize of performing for hundreds of guests at Town ËœN Country's 50th Anniversary party. Town ËœN Country Going Gold will be held at Jackson Springs Park on September 19, 2009.
From elementary and middle school singers and a synchronized dance duo to a martial artist and an Irish dancer, Town ËœN Country lived up to its talent show title, Town ËœN Country's Got Talent.
When the last performer left the stage and votes were tallied, after careful deliberation by judges Marion Kelley, OWLS (Older Wiser Lively Seniors), ErinBrea (Newsome), an up-and-coming song artist, and Lucy Carroll, Neighborhood Accountability Board, four worthy contestants were invited to come back for the finals. ErinBrea summed up the judges' experience: “It was a difficult decision to reduce the categories down to two. Each of these kids are really very talented. You can see they put their heart and soul into their performances.”
Competitors invited back in the Elementary School category include Oscar Lopez, a gifted black belt martial artist and Madison Walling, an amazing singer/songwriter who performed her own heartfelt original song about the passing of a pet with background music created by an equally talented dad. Vying for the Middle School title are Lynnaida Rodriguez who left the judges wanting more of Mariah Carey's Hero and Sarah Fernandez who gave a spectacular Irish dance performance.
The community is invited to come to Town ËœN Country Commons to watch the Finals on Saturday June 27 in Community Rooms A&B at 10:15 AM. Four contestants will meet three new judges and perform full-length acts. After months of preparing for the talent show, contestants will be narrowed down to two and the inaugural Town ËœN Country's Got Talent will have its first set of winners.
